What LEDs do I purchase for Dash lights/AC lcd lights/ clock light.

Hey guys I drive a 05 G35. was wondering what LEDs i would need to buy for the Dash lights. Also for AC lcd, and the clock. Im pretty sick of the orange inside of it honestly. Also I was wondering how would i change the orange film on the ac lcd and odometer lcd?? sorry for all of the questions.

It's a huge project that will likely take weeks to complete. All the leds are soldered in

I've been thinking about this too, what's the part that takes so long? Soldering and desoldering usually doesn't take long at all.

And not one of those old PCB's with huge components, these ones use the tiny SMD resistors and they just take a LOT of time and precision to replace.

Call me crazy, but I really like the amber lightning. There's something calming about it.
The problem is you can't just swap leds and expect it to be the right color. The gauge faceplate has a tint to it you'll have to sand to make it clear which I've read is the hardest part. If you dont, the light will still have an orange look to it. I believe the same goes for the ac display. There used to be members that would do a makeover if you sent them the parts. If you do take on this project, I'd buy spare parts to work on instead of screwing up your current parts

The "amber monitor feel" is one of the things I absolutely love about the car. I need to poke Wrathernaut to see if there's any DD head units that have customizable color so I can make it monochrome amber to match.

I just realized no one actually answered the OP, you're looking for Surface Mount Device (SMD) LED's, they're basically all the same but picking the right color can be tricky. Pick a manufacturer and order up a few different shades of the same color, I strongly recommend you buy a second combination meter to work on.

I think www.gaugecraft.com had a youtube video of him doing a 350Z cluster, I don't know if they're still around but they did custom colors for 350Z/G35 combination meters for a VERY reasonable price given the amount of time it takes to do the replacement.

they are NOT all the same. for the 05 clusters they use plcc2 leds for the cluster and for the radio controls its 0805. for the gauge cluster face you will need to get a custom one made or use colors that are okay with an orange film in front like red or maybe blue. i have a spare aftermarket cluster face that has been sitting around for a while. if you have a manual i can sell it to you or if its an auto you could cut the hole in the middle with a dremel. bought it for 100$ will let you have it for 25$ shipped

lasones are just bec i feel like showing off more led stuff lol
