Storage pocket
Storage pocket
I am sure someone knows but what is the storage pocket on the right side (passenger) of the center console intended for? For life of me I cannot figure out what would fit in there and stay!

I think he is talking about the upper dash flat compartment in front of the passenger seat (the console comment is what's throwing folks off). I use it for the owner's manual and registration/insurance papers. The bottom bucket-style glove box compartment is for the rest of the mess.

I was in the middle of editing my post to include a pic. ;-)
V1 radar detector?
I see. That's 03-04 interior. 05-07 got the updated dash. Makes sense as a pack of cigarettes holder; the Japanese are (were?) heavy smokers, and the V35 was the first time Nissan went global with the Skyline platform.

Another oddity of the cross-Pacific exchange: it took me the longest time to find the emergency flasher switch when I first got my 5AT sedan. It's precisely hidden from my seating position behind the shift ****. Not too great for quick deployment when you need it...unless you're seated on right-hand drive. Then it's in plain view.
