WTB: Looking for Shoulder belt guide
Looking for Shoulder belt guide
Looking for Shoulder belt guide for a 2006 G35 Coupe, looks like the one pictured, I am looking for the passenger side in stone color, anyone know where I can find them?
Those are REALLY difficult to find, see if anyone is parting out a coupe in the marketplace. When I eventually break mine I'm going to just make ones out of billet aluminum probably because they're that hard to find.
Ohhh I definitely would, you can probably easily fix it with a good quality super glue. Clean the mating surfaces thoroughly with 99.9% isopropyl alcohol (usually grocery stores only carry the rubbing alcohol 70% stuff for medical use, Home Depot carries the good stuff) then apply a good superglue like Loctite Professional Super Glue (my favorite) or Gorilla Super Glue. Home Depot or any other hardware store should carry both.
I prefer the Loctite Pro because the nozzle doesn't get all crapped out after a few uses, literally will keep squirting out glue until the bottle is empty.

If it doesn't hold for some reason, and I have no idea why it wouldn't, a good epoxy option is the Gorilla Epoxy in the 2-part syringe. I use it often for repairing concrete statues, broken metal components that aren't under a lot of load (Gorilla-Weld epoxy if they are), and other things of that nature.
The most important part to any sort of fixes like this is a THOROUGHLY CLEANED SURFACE, 99% isopropyl alcohol is the best.

Keep in mind that super glue is good for about 2000 lbs, it's MUCH stronger than the plastic. Epoxy like I listed is good for 3000 lbs. The Gorilla-Weld is good for like 4500 lbs.
You really don't need anything that strong, the super glue option still provides like 100x more strength than the plastic is even capable of carrying.

I just so happen to have two stone grey OEM seats from an 06' coupe sitting in my shop if you still need one or both.
I'll hook you up next time I swing by the post office; just let me know.

Joe
