Driver seat creak

My driver's seat on my 03 5AT is creaking when I brake or accelerate.

Are there springs that I can wd40 or something. I'm a little anxious about spraying anything under there because it is a power seat.

thanks,

Les

I have the same creak. I thought it was coming from my back seat. It really annoys me. And sometimes its worse than others. Should I take it to the dealer? I dont want to get the run around and I know I will because I'm a girl.

i have the same problem too but i'll be damned if i can figure out where exactly the creak is coming from. all i know is that SOMETHING creaks in the car when i brake or accelerate. i've tried my best to figure out what exactly was causing it but i can't tell.

i'd be thrilled if mine were just creaking right now... when i brake or accelerate really hard now, the seat actually rocks like 1/2" AND creaks

It is the Seat Rail. I had the mechanic take a look at mine and he ordered the parts and will be replaciing it this weekend. Do a search and you'll see this problem. It isn't horribly bad but I do hear it only when the music is off or when I get out of the car and the seat leans to one side. Oh, and if you think this car have alot of problems, just visit any car site. Trust me, all cars have some sort of problems. Just be glad there are only creaks, rattles, and whatnot and not electrical or more serious problems. I'll take these minor noises then something that will actually cause harm, have me stranded somewhere, etc.

I thought I saw a TSB out regarding the rocking driver seat. I would investigate further, I bet you will be able to get the dealer to fix that pretty easily!
