Remove the Central Tray from Rear Seat

Does anyone know how to remove the entire central tray from the rear seat? I'm talking about the plastic part that includes the cup holders located in the middle of the rear seats of a coupe. I want to remove the whole thing, not just the lid or the cup holders. Any ideas? The service manual is useless on this. Thanks.

All you have to do is put your hand between the seat and the plastic piece, grab the plastic piece and pull slightly up and and towards the front of the car it should slide right out....to replace the piece, just replace the plastic clips and slide back in....let me know if this helps...

To avoid breaking any clips. Just remove the whole rear seat then remove the plastic.

If you take that off, it's going to be ugly and broken looking.

Got it! Thank you all for the precise information. Actually sliding it forward was not easy. I still kinda lifted it. And it needed such a force that I was worried about breaking it.

Now, what would you suggest to cover it? It's not such a good image underneath that thing. I removed it because I sometimes attach a infant carseat to the middle of the rear seat and I determined the middle is the best position. But when I don't have a infant seat, I would like to cover that big hole.

Any suggestions?

Thanks. I found this thread which seems to be talking about it. And he listed "Interchangable Pad or Rear Seat Console."
