Thumbs up Piaa Wedge bulbs Vs. LED's

Hey guys, i have been looking around this section fo the forum, and i am upgrading all of my lights.

I am putting the Piaa HID SUPER COBALT bulbs to replace the stock HID's and the H4 Extreme White Plus Bulbs to replace the high beams.

I just recently put the Piaa Xtreme White 168 Wedge bulbs in the clearance strips and in the clear corners, and the look good, but i have been hearing a lot of bad things about them over time. But Piaa Also makes high intensity Leds too. Would those be better than the wedge bulbs.

OR

Is it worth Upgrading to the Led's From www.superbrightleds.com?

And if so which ones do i buy? I want to keep the White color going
This is the selection off there web site.

1. 4 and 6 LED Wedge Base Bulbs
2. WLED-x6 LED Wedge Base Bulbs
3. WLED-x5 LED Wedge Base Bulbs
4. T13-x6 LED Wedge Base Bulbs

5. 921 LED Wedge Base Bulbs ( Would You Recomend These?, They have 9 leds)

I see most people saying that they use the 6 Led ones, but they do not specify which ones they are. So Please give some feedback, and thank you.

I think you will be happier with the superbright leds, cheaper, and many people have them. They are a pretty well known company and put out quality bulbs

I bought some leds from velocity-leds. Weren't as great as I had hoped. I got a 6 led bulb for the clearance strip and a 5 way directional for the corners. I got those because I heard superleds are real loose and can fall into the housings.

jiggalam,

were they not as bright as you had hoped? Do you think the high powered ones (i think they're 9.99) are better. I'm currently looking for some bulbs for the clearance strip, corners and license plate.

Well I only know about the velocity-leds not the superbrightled ones. But no they weren't as bright as I had hoped. I got these because I wanted to try something different. I'm pretty picky but they get the job done.

I'm basically looking for a very bright white light for the corners, strip and license plate. Does anyone have a suggestion on what's the best type of led (inverted for corners for better distribution, 6 led, etc. ???). Thanks.

if it is for the clear corner, i would recommed you to do a retrofit =)
it is in the diy section where you can retrofit a 2x8 matrix of leds in the stock housing

Yet, it is not cheap and plus alot of time if you want to do it correctly!
it took me one full weekend to make sure everything works the way i want them to...

I will try post some pics later
