Can someone please show me how to replace the HID in the 05 G35 coupe?

 

what seems to be the problem?

and what exactly are you trying to do? are you trying to switch the bulbs, ballasts?? oorrrr??? please give us a bit more details on the problem and we'd be happy to help!

I'm trying to replace the bulb. I have never worked with HID before, so I'm trying to do a little research before actually messing with it. Any help is much appreciated.

 

its the same as changing a regular bulb. twist off the dust cap, pull off the harness, and take out bulb. Installation is reverse of removal.

 

Ok, so are the 05's like the 04's are? or are they like the 06's?

If they are like the 04's then you have to turn the wheel all the way to the right or left.... then pop the fasteners out of the fender liner and pull it back, you should also take out the phillips screw on the top as well for more access. Once you pull the liner back you will have access to the light housing... Next unscrew the top most compartment and that will give you access to the bulb... unclasp the fastner, remove the bulb and replace the same way you got the old one out... BE SURE TO BE CAREFULL NOT TO TOUCH THE REPLACEMENT BULB!!! If you touch the bulb you will damage it and greatly reduce it's life span.

While at it, I checked out the high beam also. Couldnt quite make out what kind of bulb it is, but I think it's a H4. Am I correct? Also is there a way to replace the bulb style light with HID?

 

its an h4...remember to turn and pull on the ballast for the hid...remember which way you pulled it off because it lines up a certain way

 

Thank you for the tip. What about the little light next to the HID, what kind of bulb is that?
