2006 Style Quad Projectors
#62
Hey Larry, every headlight I've made has been fully adjustable, in this case as well, they were mounted on brackets I've fabricated and mounted on the factory mounts, in which case they are fully adjusttable using the threads in the factory housing. (to certain limits) Also, in order to fit the housing the shroud the projector and have it still fit inside the space of the factory, I have to say TL is both pushing the limits of the Length and the Height as well. As far as the shrouds being fitted to the housing, they are mounted more on the projector rather than fixed on the housing, so yes they do move when you adjust the projectors.(What can't be seen in the pictures is the shroud isn't a round piece that's stuck in the middle of the opening, rather the openning was fabricated to accommondate the shroud and it moves accordingly) As far as the headlights not being centered, I suppose you mean that it is not dead straight with the low beam, this case you might have to look at the factory design and see that the foglight reflector was never centered with the low beam, and was offset, therefore the space that was given was offset as well, and in order to matain the integrity of the horizontal mounts, it was mounted evenly between the left and the right mount, hence the offsetting looking on the headlights themselves. The mounting itself was not without difficulties and I would have to say it was less than pleasant to know that not only did it not fit the factory housing, it was also in the way of the factory ballast. But when there is a will, there is a way. I've done it and I'm proud and also I've learned a whole lot, should there comes time I would have to do it again, I think it would only get better.
