PIAA bulbs for cheap

Hi,

I just purchased some PIAA 168 Wedge Bulbs and PIAA T-6 Dome bulbs (X-treme White) for my G35 Coupe.

Many have bought from www.optauto stating that they are the cheapest. At $9.95 per bulb, that is true. But you include shipping and tax (CA residents), the price adds up.

I just purchased my bulbs from

www.importperformancewarehouse.com

They are based in New York and sell the exact bulbs for $10.87. Slightly more expensive, but you get FREE SHIPPING on orders over $40.00 and no sales tax.

NOTE: I HAVE NOT yet received the bulbs, so if everything turns out great, I'll have saved over 10%. Should be getting them next week.

Not much, but thought I'd pass the savings on to other G35 owners.

FYI:
Side Markers: 168 Wedge (5W)
Clearance: 168 Wedge (5W)
License Plate: 168 Wedge (5W)
Trunk Light: 168 Wedge (5W)
Map Light: T-6 (10W)
Step Light: T-6 (10W)

ONE QUESTION: The wattage of some of these bulbs are greater than that listed in the owner's manual. Will these burn out the wires? The wattage difference in some cases is only 1.2W.

Thank you.

Re: PIAA bulbs for cheap

Order was received.

This company appears to simply be an affiliate of europartsdirect.com

Got 5 packs of "186" wedge xtreme white (same as 168 wedge) and 3 packs of T-6 xtreme white for a total of $86.96.

$10.87 ea with free shipping.

So far changed out my map lights, trunk light, and license plate lights.

Re: PIAA bulbs for cheap

There are already pics in this forum. just gotta search for it. give me a coupla days and I'll get some pics up.

Some guy has some side by side pics on here somewhere. I think extreme white lights in the interior and the license plate lights make the biggest difference. no bigbie in the trunk.

will post pics if i remember.

Re: PIAA bulbs for cheap

The dome lights are much brighter with the PIAA's. The light is a much better hue as well. At first it seemed weird but know that I've had all my domes replaced for a few weeks it is very nice.

No, that's a PIAA Xtreme White T-6 Bulb in the dome light, The 168s are for the sidemarkers, clearance, and license plates.
