First, you don't have to jack the car up to remove them. Just remove the front inner fender liner and turn the wheel to the outside. The first side takes a while to figure it out. The other side will take 15-20 minutes. When changing the clearance lights, pay special attention to the orientation of the mounts. If you don't line it up right, you can knock out the clearance light bulb into the housing. It is a pain to get back out.

Since I never got an answer on the PIAAs, I decided to try the SilverStars. I wanted to try to match the clearance lights as much as possible, so I just tried to match the physical color of the bulbs to the Silverstars. The results are that the SilverStars are extremely close, but the HIDs are a little more blue and the SilverStars are a little more beige(not really yellow). The clearance lights matched the SilverStars with exactly the same color.

For anyone using SilverStars, get a set of PIAA Super White type 168 bulbs. These match perfectly. PIAAs part number for these is a 19168.

There are still other bulbs that may be closer to the HIDs. PIAA Extreme Whites look a little more blue and could be the right setup. I would be curious to see these matched to a set of Platinum Super White or Xtreme White clearance bulbs.
