What do you guys do w/ the stock yellowish headlight bulb?

I'm tired of the stock so call 5000K philips bulbs... ppl asked me why Infiniti G35c doesn't come w/ HID, mean while, I have to turn it off and back on to show them they are HID... sigh...

Anyways, what kinds of bulbs did you ppl use as replacement? 5500K? 6000K, 8000K? What brand? (I notice even w/ the same 6000K bulbs, different brand gives different colour... Plilips 6000K=purple/white, Pro-lumen 6000K=bluelish/white, GE 6000K=Warm pink/white...)

Guys, please post some pictures of your HID w/ Brand and how many K is the bulbs... I need a reference guide... Thanks bros...

I have 6600K PIAA for my projectors.... Love them

I have 8000K PIAA in my Fogs which match pretty good to the projecxtors... Like them

And in my turn signals I have PIAA's as well which look clear when not lit and are BRIGHT amber when signaling... Love them

Different companies definitely have different colors for any given Kelvin rating. So it's pretty much pointless to go off that number. You might as well just decide if you're looking for a blue or purple bulb and then see which company's bulb matches that.

I still get pretty good color from 5000K bulbs.

These were 4100K fully warmed up, when I was testing some modifications.

but

the light output was definitely yellowish...basically my light output was like really bright halogens..

does that make sense?

I don't know about 03' 04' or 05'... but 06' comes with 5000K... it's the Philip 5000K 85122+... 85122 is the 4300K, 85122+ is the 5000K... but then again, it's the housing that makes it look yellowlish... took the bulbs out and put them in the TSX, they r pure white... so it's not the bulbs...

I had the Phillips 6000k bulbs and they give a great crystal white with a little purple.

I just did a S2000 projector retrofit and decided to try the Phillips 5000k bulbs. They are way more yellow but brighter. I think I am going to try and mod my 6000K D2R bulbs to work.
