Do i turn it? pull it? release some tabs?

Which bulb are you talking about? The round orange reflector one or the one for the long stripe? In either case, you just twist the bulb holder about 1/4 circle, and it should come out.

I would get those wires fixed. That looks dangerous.

I just grab that holder with those 8 wires leading from it and turn? Have you done it? I tried on mine and thought that thing was going to break.

As for the wiring, I had a mouse living in my fender protector

Actually, i'm trying to tap into the turn signal to blink the side marker. Having the hardest time.

Actually, the thing with the 8 wires (the rectangular black thing) is the main wiring for the entire headlight. You have to somehow reach beyond that thing to get to the orange signal bulb. It should be a smaller, circular connector.

 

DAMN! You got to be sh!tting me!! I've been tapping into the wrong wires? So its deeper into the fender well, behind the rectangular black thing? Is it just a pos/ground wire leading into that bulb?

If you want to get to the bulb, you'll have to reach farther medially (towards the midline of the car). If you just want to tap into the wires, you can try the wires around the rectangular box.

If you want to pull out the rectangular box, pull towards the rear of the car. It should slide out.
