Those are very nice but I still like the CCFL angel eyes way more. For that price they should have 3x as many LED's making the halo.

Do the turn signal bulbs turn on at the same time as the sTrip light ala 05 and under headlights?

No, the turn signals turn yellow only when the signals/hazards are activated. Even in our 03-05 conversions, we disable the yellow running lamps and only use them with signal/hazard use.

Are you using the city lights circuit to activate the lights on the CFL strip?

We do work with cold cathode fluorescent (CCFL). This technology requires bulky voltage inverters and require heaters to allow them to operate at temperatures below 50°F. The tubes are fragile and are better off left inside of computer cases.

A few notes for those interested:
1) These were obviously the first prototype lights we developed for Sean. We were trying real hard to ship them out before this weekend's Z/G meet, so that Sean could install them on his car as we already found a buyer for his used 03-05 color-matched LED lamps. So, we busted buns to try to get everything completed and shipped via FedEx overnight shipping. That, plus snapping the pictures and updating our website.

2) We actually missed the cutoff for FedEx's last express pickup, and still have the lamps! We'll go ahead and spend a bit of extra time cleaning up that tiny imperfection, no biggie. Thanks for pointing out those details though guys, keep the comments comming!

3) As for those who call us ripoffs and are saying mean things to be jerks. Well, thats fine.. it doesnt bother me. We charge what we charge because we not only believe in our work, but our customers believe in us and our fabrications. We take the time to make things right. We put a lot of heart and dedication into everything that passes through our office.

If you dont care about the above, and just want things quick and cheap.. no problem, there are other companies that will gladly take your money and modify your headlamps to look like Frankenstein's head -- search through the forums, there's plenty of horror stories to chose from.

Mike,

How much do these headlights go for? (for those that may be interested)

Thanks

Lets see, if you pay me as much as you paid them, I'd given them back in a week with 4 projectors. Quality? See for yourself in my threads. But I'm glad you are happy with them.

Thanks to those for the compliments, for the rest, I do what I do for myself, not all of you. I'm only here posting the pics to help spread the word for Mike. We've built a good relationship with the different projects we've done over the last year and a half, and he runs a first-rate shop.

4 projectors in what? My old, modified '05 lamps? Or just to add 2 projectors to a set of '06 lamps? I appreciate the your concern for the value of my dollar being spent elsewhere, but I didn't need an illegal retrofit in my lower foglight because those bulbs are never activated due to my JDM HID bumper fog light setup. Besides, if you were to retrofit projectors in my '05 lamps, then I wouldn't be able to sell those lamps and recoupe a significant portion of what I spent on the new lamps.

I'm really not impressed with those. I think LEDs look cheesy with all those hotspots. CCFL looks much better imo. For what I'm estimating you paid, you shouldn't have to wait that long, and they should have definitely done better.

You really can't sit there and say "I do what I do for me, not you guys, blah blah blah" You obviously care what people think, that's why you posted this thread. If you really didn't care, then why post at all?

I do apologize for the delay. Everything arrived about a week before the holidays and I've been too busy to do the swap. Mike took the feedback about some of the rough edges and made some tweaks and cleaned everything up a bit. My schedule is crap, so I probably won't get this in until the end of the month.

But I can! As I said before, its to help spread the word for Mike over at clearcorners.com. We have a good working relationship and I just try to get his name out there as I can. Trust me, if I'm happy with it, I'll sleep well at night regardless of what you all think, good, bad or indifferent.

I would say the cut to add in the strip light looks very rough.
Apart from that they look pretty good.

The original pictures I linked were from clearcorners.com, before I actually had the lamps in my possession, so I think Mike removed them because he addressed the cut issues you raised. He does have updated pics on the site since he did the touch up.

I'll see about snapping some close-up pics of my own this weekend, now that I have the lamps. Then you can all draw your own conclusions.
