TSX Retrofit Problems!!!

Can any of you guys who have done retrofits tell me exactly where I am suppose to mount TSX projectors on the black metal bracket??? I placed the projectors as far up as they can go but I still aimed the projector so that it slanted downward.

I put my 06 drivers side light on and matched it with the TSX reto'd lights and the cutoff were at the same height. But when I took it out for a drive the TSX side seems like it reached further and higher. Is it because the TSX projectors are that much better than the G35 Projectors???

I would also like to know if anyone can tell me what each bolt on the back of the headlight is used to adjust?

Also, can you guys tell me how you fit the headlights back in the car if the projector sticks out of the rear opening by a couple inches??? It seems like the fender wall is in the way so would I need to cut that?

Thanks!!!

Sorry, I did a retrofit but it was to put S2000 projectors in my 04 headlights. Not sure what the 06' projectors look like inside.
I can tell you that the TSX are better projectors and will have more output. As for the higher that may not be a good thing.

hey ttrank, how did you get your headlights to fit on the car? When I had my tsx projectors in there they would extend out of the back so much that it would hit the fender wall...

I think this guy may have a coupe, just because he said that he is mounting it to a metal bracket, and in the sedan there is no metal bracket. I am doing my TSX retro in my sedan right now. It is actually coming along nicely.

Are you using a 06 coupe headlight or the 03-05 lights?

Sometimes you have to do the fine aiming when everything is mounted and on the car.

There are 3 adjustment screws for the light. Two on the bottom, one on the top. The two lower ones are mostly for horizontal aiming. The top one is for the vertical aiming, though you will get some horizontal movement when you turn that screw.

If the projector is sticking out past the headlight, then you either have to mount it farther forward, or make a new back end of the headlight and possibly trim the fender liner.

It is possible on the 03-05 lights to have TSX projectors mounted without changing the rear of the light.

This is on a 03-05 bracket. The car was recently hit by another driver, so now I have to repair the passenger side, as there's no way for the insurance to replace something like this.

Mine fit no problem and the caps still go on the back.

I'm not sure why yours don't fit, from what I know the TSX is just about the same size as the S2000..?..

The shrouds/bezels are a combination of the HIDplanet chrome bezel, a polished lens holder from a halogen projector, and polished tin sheets.

The low beam is a TSX projector, that was the point of posting the pic. It's mounted onto the stock reflector. I don't think the TSX projector can be mounted directly to the metal bracket easily. A E46 projector can, but not TSX.

I actually finished the lights a few months ago, there should be some pics in this subsection. I most recently added 50W ballasts.
