look here is a picture of my ccfl tubes http://img386.imageshack.us/img386/3874/photokl.jpg
if you see the white cord that comes off the ccfl tube to the blue box is really short. So my question is how did you plug two ccfl tubes into one blue box from driver to passenger side cause there is no way that white cord is going to go all the way from my passenger side through to my driver side its way to short. So how did you plug 2 into one blue box cause mine definetly doesnt reach

Its the same as mine. I put the blue box right in the middle, with the 2 cold cathodes on either side. I had to put the tubes off center and the white wire is really tight. I didnt extend the white wire. I extended the power input wire from 12v to blue box. If the white wire is really short, i can recommend a website. Its like a modding/merchandising website, and it has tons of stuff like these. Ill try and find it and ill post a link.
Heres the link. http://www.performance-pcs.com/catal...roducts_id=718
Browse around the website too. They have SO much stuff that you dont find regularly.
I buy from them a lot of times. Great guys.

I took that pic and it just doesnt look like one would reach to the driver and one would reach to the passenger side. they just dont look long enough.
that means your blue box would would have to be in the dead center between passenger and driver side.
also you can see im holding the black and red wires to the battery http://img691.imageshack.us/img691/4866/photolq.jpg and neither light up..
i assume all 4 of my lights blew or the blue boxes blew or something happened.

for those of you who wanted more details:
Bcm harness furthest right (near driver side foot plate. See picures below)
use these pinouts to connect inverters/leds
driver side:
drill a hole a couple inches in front of the ridge in the back of the trim piece.
Now you can run a zip tie around the ccfl, through the hole and attach it.
The inverter you see in this picture was pushed in after install was completed
passenger side:
take out the lowerdash piece to allow enough access for installation. Use zip ties to secure.
picure with oem trim piece reinstalled:
rear:
use an exacto knife or anything sharp to put 4 holes for each tube in the carpet. Thread zip ties through these holes and attach ccfl's.
i put the inverter for these tubes in the first aid compartment. (yes the first aid kit still fits)
hope this helps! Have fun!

I finally got mine all installed over the past couple days.
With the plug in that pic from deftronix, in a coupe the wire colors are the same, but the locations are different
but they are indeed plugged into the BCM, which has 3-4 plugs going into it.
The red/black (+) is always hot, never changing. It is the purple/red (-) wire that you want to use for controlling the on/off of the door sensors.
I ran a new wire from the battery going to a 6 circuit distribution block, because there are other things I will need a wire independent from the car's system for.
As always, confirm the wire you are going to use with a wire tester before you go hacking into it. I actually just pushed the wire into that cell of the plug. It fit pretty snugly. It will work until I get another wire splicer.
I'll post pics up this evening.

Hey, I read through this thread and noticed that all or most of you are using ccfl's.. im also a custom computer guy (see zoop425 on youtube) and I do allot of custom lighting for computers as well as cars. I have done it for cars, computers, etc.. anyway, while ccfl's are bright, they also get warm, are fragile, require an inverter, look bad in most colors (except for white and blue), and dim out half way if the wires are made to long. So, this is why I almost always used leds.. (deeper color, no heat, less power, durable, smaller, etc..) Im not putting any one down for using ccfl's they work just fine, I just wanted to give some input.. here are the ones I always use..

Those are in white 24" but they come in every color and in different lengths.. performance-pcs is a computer site (thats why I know it.. in fact they are my sponsor.. which is not at all why im showing them to you because i receive nothing for doing so, they just supply me with items to make video reviews of)
anyway, the reason I use these is because they come with 3m adhesive on the back (even though i use zip ties or screws when using them in cars) and they come with a simple molex on the end which I clip off and strip down for + and -.. they are also very slim and produce tones of light..
they look like this
here are a few cars I did with them..
My g35x
my buddies nissan murano
and I did my friends jeep wrangler (with green)
but I don't have any pics of the lights on..

Hey zoop, I've seen those led strips before, but not lit up / installed like in your pics.
I was expecting them to be more focused like an led than to be evenly dispersed like the ccfl's do.
I'm going to get one for a ceiling mount to try it out. And is that ELWire in the cluster of that Murano?
Pics look good man, I may be converting over to those instead of ccfl's.
