It's weird that the 06+ JDM's come with seperate trunk button wire connector, where-as the USDM ones are intergrated into the main tail light connector as on my 06.
I've seen 03-05 JDM tails before w/o trunk button, though those not 06+ lens design.

Yes you can on 06+. I did, plus with a little dremmeling on side reflector internal housings, I integrated my usdm running lamps, where-as jdm ones are just reflectors, no lamps.
I didn't originally realize that the side only had reflectors.
