Has anyone gotten the '06 tail light button to open the trunk?

Any trick to it?

you should be able to retain the trunk button functionality (assuming you have an 06+ coupe)...

Of course.

I'm just wondering if anyone has figured out how to wire up the trunk button so that it works in a 2005...

That would be trick...

PITA, but possibly run a wire from trunk switch thats in front under dash in parallel to trunk button in back

It's weird that the 06+ JDM's come with seperate trunk button wire connector, where-as the USDM ones are intergrated into the main tail light connector as on my 06.

I've seen 03-05 JDM tails before w/o trunk button, though those not 06+ lens design.

Yes you can on 06+. I did, plus with a little dremmeling on side reflector internal housings, I integrated my usdm running lamps, where-as jdm ones are just reflectors, no lamps.

Got any pictures of that?

I didn't originally realize that the side only had reflectors.
