Has anyone changed the lights in the steering wheel controls? I know older models don't light up.

Hey guys, this is kind of a related question. I just ordered the JDM double din conversion kit which doesn't come with a dual button. I am going to transfer the dual button from my oem AC controller to the new controller, however, the new controller also lacks the LED and resistor behind the dual button.

Does anyone know where I could buy an exact matching LED with appropriate resistor to put into the new AC controller?

yes, it could be transfered, but usually new resistors and LEDs that have never been used are really easy to install into a new board because they have really long wires. You pulll those wires through, solder then, and then cut the excess off.

Taking components that have been already installed is umm.. well it is not my preferred method of installation.

I am going to try to find appropriate replacement parts so the old board doesn't have to be de-soldered.. an led and resistor should be fairly cheap. just have to figure out where to get the matching LED.

HOLY HELL!!! That is so freaking awesome. The blue/white colors are very reminiscent of my former 06' Acura TSX. I don't care for the orange, but it works. Great Job! I'm close to the Bay area...name your price to do mine and let's get together
