Why every Infiniti has LED tailights

"The LED tail lights on every Infiniti illuminate a sixth of a second faster than traditional bulbs. Whats so impressive about a sixth of a second? Should you be forced to bring your Infiniti to a sudden stop, the person following you will see your tail lights a sixth of a second sooner. Allowing them to react of a sixth of a second quicker. At 60 miles per hour, or 88 feet per second, this gives a additional 14.96 feet to respond. And those 14.96 feet are what inspired us to become the only full line car company with LED taillights standard of every car we build."

"Taillights that can make the person behind you a better driver"

Pretty cool.I personally think the between the M and the G they have best coolest tail lights on the market.. makes you think about reactions time? Every sub second is a long time for thought process.

That is a pretty cool fact. Besides safety, LED's just looks a million times better!

Well that is a cool article BUT. Not every Infiniti has LED tails. The M30 and G20 didn't feature them. As well as the older Q45s.

But yes, I do believe every Infinti built currently does feature them. I remember seeing led tails on a Caddy and Mercedes. I too, noticed they light up way fast.

^They last longer than traditional bulbs but what the hell do you do when you burn a few of them out. It doesn't seem to be plug an play, more like unbolt the tailight and replace.

Not usually a problem on factory LED's with proper voltage regulation, most burnt out LED's you see are on aftermarket parts that don't go through the same quality control etc.

My last car had an LED high-mount, and two traditional brake lights... I could see a HUGE difference in the time the LEd came on before the hallogens...

Oh, and they're hot
