Mtec 6000k D2C bulbs comparison

Both cars are 2005 with the 06 projectors. I really like the color of the mtecs. They match the white LED side marker and city lights perfectly. My car is the one with stock 85122+ headlights while my brother's is the one with mtecs. I may have to reaim the headlights on my bros car. Looks like I'll be changing mine out soon. Open to comments Enjoy! Oh and sorry for the crappy photos, its a 2MP camera.

These pretty much do look just like the pictures. A nice blend of white and blue but more white output on the wall and roads. More blue when you only look at the headlights at an angle. Oh and the D2C is mtec's word for saying they are compatible with both D2R and D2S.

Thanks for the words Triji.

Did you get Mtecs for your Fogs as well?.... I am running PIAAS in the projectors and my Mtecs from my 04 housings in my fogs for the 06's...

They look da bomb... I also like that when the lights are off the Mtecs with the blue hugh to the bulb looks blue when you look at the lights in the day.

No, actually I went with some 7000k nokya for the fogs on my bros car. They are pretty yellow which sucks so I just told him to not use it unless he needed it. The DG one is my car which I have a HID conversion kit for the fogs at 6000k. They look really nice but I'm waiting on the mtecs to come in for mine so I can take pics of the whole package.

Got them off ebay from this guy:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/MTEC-...3023QQtcZphoto
he's an authorized dealer for mtec. Although the bulbs didn't match with one of the sets he sent me, he is sending me another set as we speak, so we'll see how it goes. They also have a site, www.onspire.com. Pretty cool guy with fast shipping.

hey thanks man... Do you like the MTEC bulbs more that put out white and blue than Phillips bulbs that put out white and purple (the ones that are in BMW)?

I'll go with MTEC for now.. Phillips Ultinons are too expensive (200$ for a set)

I really haven't seen the phillips in person, but the purple would look a little more classy maybe, but the price is a bit high. For half the price, the MTECs are the best bang for the buck here. I don't regret getting them at all. MTEC FTW.

Same place i got mine from. Great bulbs.

The output is whiter compared to the phillips. I've had both and MTEC is way better by far. 6000k MTEC's are brighter on the ground than the 6000k Phillip ultinons.

OEM's are 1/3 of the price, and give you better performance. OEM 85122+ with a color mod FTW

yea but oem looks yellowish... doesn't look as nice as white color... think of it this way, would you rather be with a good looking girl (Philips Ultinon/MTEC)who give you hell sometimes but most of the time make you happy, or be with an average looking girl(OEM) who makes you happy all the time? I guess you are the latter type? for me i'd rather be with the good looking girl man.

anyway i just ordered the MTEC from the link Need4Speed posted... can't wait to get them...
