Recommend a 2003 G35 Headlamp Upgrade

What is your recommendations to upgrade a 2003 G35 headlamps
- Should I buy 2006 headlamps and ballasts?
- Or go with a after market kit such as the ones here;
http://autocityimports.com/universal...c-564_552.html.

How well do these kits install and are they crap?

I am kinda in the dark on this and I could use a little illumination on this subject...

Thanks

why would you get those HID kits since your car already has HID? If you want to change the colors just get the D2R bulbs with different temperature rating. It will cost you less as well.

if he has a coupe, hes gonna want d2s bulbs, and i think d2c bulbs will fit d2r/d2s

I am thinking of buying a used pair of 06/07 projectors.... How do I tell if they're from a recalled batch?

Thanks,

Even if they are recalled, you can just adjust them...reuse your ballast...$200 max is all it will cost you

if they are selling for less than $500, they are probably recalled. Not all issues with them can be resolved by reaiming. I highly suggest against buying them

You already have HIDs as was stated above. Don't be fooled by this. If you want to improve you lighting go with '06 or later projectors.

I hate to disagree with you, but I have a recalled set on my '03. They are aimed properly and I love the light pattern. Projectors are a big improvement over reflectors IMO. Talk to IvoryGT about recalled lights.

Yes, but do a search through this section and you'll see how many issues people have had with the recalled lights. I have to answer them almost on a daily basis. I hate to think of how many people are running around with misaligned recalled lights at this point. Like I said, some of them aren't correctable by just reaiming.Unless you have a strong background modding lights, and know how to take them apart if necessary to fix rotation issues, they aren't worth it IMO.
