i've been wanting to do this for the longest, but the only method i know of requires removing the bumper to get the headlights out then baking them to crack em open and so on, essentially too much work for me. Bump for another method.

new lights Did them today

I took the bumper off. Took out the lights. Used a heat gun and opened the lights. Took them to paint shop. Used heat gun to put them back together. Back on the car.

I also had another set of lights done in Flat black for another forum member, but he has to post them up.

Thanks for the compliments guys. I had my lights done my IvoryGT. The procedure itself is pretty simple, but time consuming.

You must first remove the headlights. It takes me a good 20-30 mins to do so, but for first timers, it can take about 1-1.5 hours. It doesn't require removing the entire bumper, just pulling it forward.

Once you have the lights out, you have to take them apart. Most people use the oven method. After that, you need to take the housing apart and sand down all the chrome. This can take a few hours if you want it perfect. When your done, you shoot the lights with primer and then hit it with paint. Personally, Paul used a spray can type paint for my lights because I was looking for flat black. Put a few coats and then let them dry. Now you have to re-assemble everything and put it back.

Here are some pics of the housings after painting:

The grill is made by Ionic. Very good fitment. Fits better than some authentic Giallas.
