Bat's Overlays installed

Got my Bat's sidemarker overlays installed.

Version = 3/10 smoked tint
Cost = $14 shipped
Application = ~20 min. Disappointed that fitment wasn't perfect, so it took a little extra time than it should have. It was a little longer in certain areas, but not evenly all around to wrap around. Both sides were off, each a mirror of the other, so I know it's a stencil issue, and not just a mistake. Still, a pretty easy install. I just hope they stay in place.

I'm happy with this shade of tint. It blends in well with the DG paint, without standing out like the darker 6/10 version (almost black). I like it subtle.

Talk to bat and he'll send you a new set, My first set had the same issues, so I had him cut me a pair with ~1/2" extra all around so I could install and time them myself. You can check mine out next time we meet up

I mean, it's pretty close. Just up to 1-2mm too long on one corner. I used pressure and was able to get it to wrap around on that part. Just put the lights back in today. Haven't even driven the car since Sun. I'll check it again after driving around in the rain, etc... for a few days.

After a few months, I noticed a couple tiny little bubbles appearing. Hardly even drive the car anymore, prob only a few hundred miles in the last 4 months, and only caught in the rain a handful of times.

I'm thinking it has something to do with the improper fitment to begin with, since parts of the edge of the overlay extended beyond parts of the edge on the clear corner. You think Bat would replace these?

If he doesn't replace them, he'll probably offer another set at a discounted price.

Pat, i'm going to buy some standard tinting film and wrapping them myself. i figure it would be simple to pull the lights off and do them myself. i plan on doing this to my tails as well.

Just an update, he did send me a replacement set, which I haven't gotten around to installing yet. I'll be doing that soon, since the original one is all messed up now.
