Hey everyone well I found out today the hard way with my car that the 06 headlights I oredered for my 04 coupe with the ATI custom Procharger setup did not fit...I didn't know that the 03-05 Ballast mounting spot where the screws are is different from the 06-07 models lights....did anyone know this? the ballast are rotated a different direction yet all the ballast from all years are interchangeable...that's why I thought everything was perfectly fine.

I had my 04 set on the car just fine with my custom ATI procharger setup without any issues...Ordered the 06 set for my car since it was in the body shop getting the new bumper painted and side skirts repainted and installed...I got the phone call from the guy at the body shop after I delivered the 06 headlights the day before to which I had custom work done from clearcorners.com and come to find out that the ballast positioning is different from 03-05 to 06-07 headlights...this resulted in the main clip hitting my intercooler piping and not allowing for the driver-side headlight to be installed...I just wanted to see if anyone noticed this very small detail from the years and if anyone else has had any issues who have replaced there headlights with the 06 and the custom FI setups? I know they fit just fine without FI on any car.

Anyways enough for my rant and rave.....was just curious and if anyone experienced this problem or even noticed that it's placement is different?

 

Ive heard of this before, an intercooler pipe is aftermarket so I can see why it wont fit. Hoep iot works out bud...

That's really strange... I put 2007 Projectors on my 2003 Coupe using my 2003 Ballasts and everything fit perfectly!

Are you sure?? it worked fine for me..

 

if you do not have forced induction then yes they fit just fine without any issues....its the intercooler piping the messes up the fitment.
