Has anyone ever done this? And as far as light on the road to those who have swapped for the 6000K phillips in the headlight. Do you have more light on the road or did you sacrifice some output?

Look up IvoryGt, or redlude. THey have both done it. I know for a FACT ivory has, but redlude is the other Headlight Guru! Both do great work. It is expensive, but if you got the $$$, worth it all in looks alone!

erm i can answer a few. To have the bi xenon feature you need projectors that has the feature. Next you have to fabricate a way to hold up the the projector housing. Doing this you need to replace the reflectors of the fogs by taking that out. Then you have to make sure that the fog projector sits well with the lense cover and the chrome cover. Alot of work goes into customizing your headlights. Taking apart the headlight housing is already very difficult (for me at least). Anyways to answer your other question 6000k will lose out on lumens which is measure of brightness. Less brightness equals less visibility.
i also forgot about wiring, not sure if you need to do this but im pretty sure.

you will also need to wire it. the foglight power turns off when high beam goes on. so both power will need to go to the same ballast to power the bulb at different modes. Diodes also need to be used.

Definetly talk to IvoryGT about a projector retrofit, he's the retrofit guru around here and all of his work I' ve seen is top notch. As for the wiring, as for the wiring, it can be done as IvoryGT has described it, or you can use a kptechnologies independant foglight module which allows you to use either set of projector independantly
so basically what youre telling me is that its more trouble than its worth? I was hoping I could just plug and play and throw em in there and be like taa daa. I know the reflectors arent for HIDs and it might blind people but I wasnt too worried about that

I have seen some "bi-zenon" direct replacement for H4, H1 bulbs. They use a little electromagnet to move a reflector in the bulb.

I know they are coslty, which means they require a LOT of work. Like i said, if you have the $$$, its a GREAT cosmetic mod. I heard that it puts out so much light that your eyes at night never adjust! Originally Posted by Teamsr2k1

so would those work without lots of fabrication?Originally Posted by Texasscout

Yeah, they are supposed to be a direct replacement. I'll look and see what I can find and post it up here.

I have looked at some of the bi-xenon sets on ebay. Are all of them pretty much going to work fine?

Don't have a clue. I was just looking at some of the feedback from some of the low cost sellers. The bulbs seem to be made in China and the ballasts are made in Germany. Some people were not at all happy with the China made bulbs. But, you get what you pay for.
