Light Problem! Help!
I got an 05 and i got those gages that are always on and now when i switch that lights on manually the gages go off and the radio lights 2 they only stay on when its on off or auto what can be wroung?
Its the dimmer switch. Its should REALLY bright when you have it in Auto Mode (only in the day time) or OFF. It will be REALLY DIM if you have the headlights on (whether its at night in auto mode or in the on position) You can only see these lights at night. Give it a try and holla back.
i have the same problem, does anyone know what is wrong w/ this? the gauges and all the lights on the dash turns off when i turn on the headlight, but its turns back on when the headlights are turned off. and its not bc of the dimmer switch. PLEASE HELP!!! thanks

i know this thread is old but i found it when this problem happened to me after i had the car serviced. since no answer was provided here, i thought i add the fix for future reference.
this is actually a simple setting problem that somehow got reset @ dealer during service. to fix (2007 G sedan):
1. turn headlight to on, at this point instrument panel will go dark
2. turn instrument panel lights on via dimmer switch. for my 07, it's on the left of the instrument panel
3. turn headlights off
4. all should be back to normal.
now if you do this backwards with headlight off, adjust dimmer, headlight on, it will not work.
