I was wondering if anybody changed the interior lightbulbs of their vehicle... to an LED or something similar? if so do you have a picture and what type of bulb you used? thanks!

Re: interior lightbulbs..

if you did a search, you would've found...
Dome Light Size
and
Map and Door Light Wattages

I ordered about 5 pairs of different LED replacement bulbs for my coupe from Autolumination they should arrive any day now.
I will post pics once I have them installed

Thats a pretty imformative site for various sized LED's. I hope they are good quality though, like the PIAA's. Can't wait till you install em Fluffy, let us know how they hold up and shine.

Re: interior lightbulbs..

ok guys, the bulbs finally arrived on thursday and I had a chance to put them in.
I ordered the following:

2 x white single LED with oval lense wedge 194/168
3 x white 6-LED wedge 194/168
2 x white 4-LED foosten (31mm)
2 x white regular foosten (31mm)

here are the results...

Re: interior lightbulbs..

intially, I thought 4-LEDs in the foosten bulb would be super bright. but I was wrong... I ended up putting them into my dome light and they are not even nearly as bright as the stock ones.

note that in the picture, it looks ALOT more blue than in real life.
but there is definitely a shade of blue in there.

Re: interior lightbulbs..

I put one of the 6-LED wedge bulbs into the trunk and it seems to be about equal in brightness to the stock bulb. but again, quite blue in colour...

Re: interior lightbulbs..

the remain pair of 6-LED bulbs went into the clearance strip.
brightness was quite good. but not really white. it has a blue-ish/purple tint to it. once again, the picture makes them look more blue than real life

in the same picture are the Oval Single LED bulb for the side marker
these are less blue and definitely not very bright. but they look alright for now...
(I was hoping that the oval lense would do a better job of filling the side marker with even lighting, but it didn't work out)

fluffydot.....
thanks for your time to post pics and info....
I'm happy with the Piaa's extreme white bulbs in my clearance strip and corners....
I wanted to brighten up the interior lighting as well...but I'm not sure which bulbs/LED to get....your information is welcome and may make my decision a little easier...2old4this

Re: interior lightbulbs..

Anyone know the buld size for the glove-boxes and ashtray lights? I am having my stereo done and since the dash is ripped to pieces I can get to them??? A size would be all I need. Thanks!
