The new ones turned out real well. I like the gloss finish compared to the matte ones. Is there a part looking from the top view that's still silver though? I'd paint that too to reduce any glare.

Great work!

I have to say I like the gloss black much better because I have seen gloss and flat side by side in person. The flat looks cheap to me. Just my $0.02.

This are a clear FX lenses. I believe some lenses are frensal and some are clear.

Thanks. Its such a long process and it would take me forever to write a DIY. I really didn't take that many pics along the way, so it would be kinda hard for me to explain without pictures, but you can PM questions and I'll try to help you as much as I can.

That's kool. Everyone has different tastes. I like my old setup too, but it just didn't go well with my gloss black rims and CF hood. It just looked out of place because it was flat instead of gloss compared to everything else.

It took me a while. I'm usually busy with work during the week and then busy with family and GF on weekends. I started in August. but all in all, it's about a weeks worth of work, trying to figure out how to mount the projectors and figure out all of the kinks.

This will become more of a problem at further distances
sorry Hai. I didn't know you were gonna use G35 shrouds. Yea i know my cutoff is pretty messed up on the driver's side. It's my first time, so i didn't expect much. I'll probably end up tearing them apart to fix it eventually. I was planning to paint the shroud like lawrence (RedskylineGT), but i got lazy and just wanted to finish them already (as i mentioned above, i started in August). But if i do tear them apart, i'll probably repaint them too.

The shroud was from another set of g35 headlights i had. I needed the g35 projectors too, so i bought an extra set of g35 headlights.

Good job!
Thanks Paul. Like everyone else, you are in inspiration to us all. You've inspired me to work on projector retrofitting.

You got the goods, now you can start your project. I think the Gloss goes well with the cf hood and gloss black rims too. Thanks.

the shroud is two pieces, so i took off the small piece to paint separately. But before i did i put it back on and it looked nice to me, so i left it. the small piece is as is from the factory. Plus it matches fairly well with DG or BS.

I agree. The gloss black looks way better.

No FX lenses were fresnel, some were frosted and some were semi clear with some frost.

No problem on the shrouds, glad you did it before me so I could see how it turned out. I know how hard it is to aim them correctly, and there isn't much you can do about the rotate on the driver's side, but since you mounted them in a way that allows you to adjust the horrizontal position, then you should be able to get them aligned better without taking them apart again. Just remove the bumper and start adjusting them using the 3 bolts on the back
