Upgrade to 06 projector headlights or just upgrade the bulbs?

Upgrade to 06 projector headlights or just upgrade the bulbs?

which is better? and for the price?

i have an 04' coupe btw; is the projector headlights bright? or would getting new bulbs be brighter?

bulbs won't make any difference in output. go with the projectors

whats the number for the projectors? someone told me the stock ones for the non projectors were 4###k =/

IMO, the 03-05 headlights has that signature layout when it glows because of the clearance strip. At night, seeing one approaching in my rearview mirror, I already know it's a G35 coming.

06-07 headlights has a better beam of light, more concentrated on it's target. Although from the rearview mirror aspect, i could mistakenly take it for any other car with projectors.

6000K bulbs provide a bluish hue but are not brighter than what he has. It's a good look but a loss of output over OEM.

so...i guess I'm gonna stay with the stock, but i want to make it brighter, so wuould i just need to buy the HID "kits" or the lightbulb be fine? or how is everyone else doing it?

Stock bulbs are the brightest. If you swap to 6000K bulbs, there will be a loss in output but you will gain more color. Anways, you would need to buy just D2R bulbs for 03-05 housings.

Yeah your right on that one. I upgraded to 8k bulb's and it didn't get any brighter but give me a deep bluish color.
