I don't have this mod anymore but what I used is listed in post #1

Here are the resistors:

I'm bringing back this thread because there is now a much better and BRIGHTER LED rear turn signal bulb available from V-LEDS. You will still need to install power resistors, but the 7-Watt LED 7440 replacement bulb physically fits perfectly in my 2004 sedan, and its optics are an excellent match for the reflector. It's also VERY bright!

Yup, they're very bright. I have the same ones in my turn signals with resistors to stop the hyperblinking.

Are they brighter than the oem turn signal bulbs? I've been trying to find something brighter and so far no LED's have done it.

Yes, I think they are as bright, if not brighter than the 21W 7440 incandescent bulb. A 21W incandescent bulb probably puts out about 2W of red light, but the 7W red LED bulb probably puts out about 4-5W of red light. The good news about this latest from V-LEDS is that its LED mounting locations more closely match the position of the incandescent filament in the OEM bulb; therefore the focused gain of the lamp reflector assembly works well.

These LEDs are definitely brighter than OEM. Not drastically brighter, but definitely noticeable.
I compared my signals to another sedan's signal side by side. These LEDs are definitely brighter.
