how do i remove taillights?

i can't find a diy for this and i just ordered 06 taillights for my 03 coupe, what tools do i need?

i belive its a 8mm socket. open trunk. remove plastic piece. it just snaps off. then pull out the lining in the trunk. its held in by those black clips(pop it out with a flat head) remove 3-4 bolts holding tail lights
