and I suppose you think having exposed LEDs just sticking out of the housing is a great application of the Audi inspiration and does not look like a load of crap. Then I guess to each his own is the only answer for that, because honestly it looks absolutely terrible.

I agree that it is inspired by, not a rip off. I put halos on my Jeep SRT8 and not one person ever said it looked horrible. In fact, even more people than normal stopped to compliment it. Which was almost daily.

I have a local custom shop quoting out for me not only LED strips, but also projector fogs - both for the front bumper. I'll then make a decision which of the two to do.

I'm also ordering two front body panels and looking into XF type side vents.

I just make sure all my mods are done PROFESSIONALLY and that the execution looks like it was "from the factory"...plus being subtle.

^angel eyes can look great but it can also look chopped up, completely depends on the installer and use of rings.

The issue at hand is not about using LEDs to have an Audi look, that's fine if done right, but the examples shown so far is a clear example (at least to me) of what NOT to do.

I know, I know, it may very well go the way of the altezza's, but until that time, I hope that someone actually does something that looks good and we can admire it...until it gets played out...

yea it would need some tweaking to look clean and from the factory, but if pulled off it would look awesome.

The GTR led fogs should fit nicely in your bumper.

^1 IMO I think it would look very cool and unique if you pulled that off...

I think it looks pretty awesome. I'd definitely consider doing this.

As far as it being an imitation...gimme a break. You know how many other mods that standard would apply too then? Comes down to what people think looks good to them, the same reason some people choose silver cars over black...they aren't imitating the next guy, they just like it better. That's what this hobby is all about.

It's not the imitation thing. It's the immitation that you know every other 'modder' is going to have, because they are all unique you know. What is so special about a G35 with LED's, when every other civic will have them as well. Not having LED's will be the unique thing.

lol, because there is a huge difference in how good a G looks with the LEDs and how a civic looks with them. Especially when that civic has the ricer tail lights and a GT-R emblem on the side. One can chuckle at that and appreciate the taste on the G. They still put wings on cars even though quite a few civics have made quite a mockery out of that simple part/mod.
