Cool The WHITEY-EST white lights.

I've read a few hundred posts on replacement bulbs now. No applause please.

But seriously,

I'm looking for plain white lights, LED's or bulbs to fit the clearance/city lights and corners (194/168).

Also for the the whitest H4 bulbs for foglight replacement.

Don't like the bluish
tint. Ricey, beaner or trashy, whatever you want to call it. Don't want to get bothered by cops. And I'm old(er). Or at least feel that way.

Leaning towards PIAA's because they have a reputation for lasting longer.

Anyone with experience with platinum super whites, as opposed to super white (3800K).

Which sound more white than the super xtreme whites (4000K) xtreme whites(4150K).

And I'm convinced there are no white LED's.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

If you go LEDs you're getting that bluish hue no matter what..

I've personally settled with PIAAs plus havnt had any issues from cops since they light my my plates VERY well =)

the brand doesn't matter so much, rather the temp. rating in kelvins. stock are around 4000k and a little yellow. very white whites are around 4800k to 5300k. anything past that will be bluish, and past that is purple.

the brand you choose will determine manufacturing quality and durability.

edit: the citylights in my av. are supposed to be white, but all white leds give off blue. however, when the 4300k silverstars fogs are on, they match the headlights pretty well.

What year is your car? Or what year are your lights atleast? Big difference. If its an 03, than search clearance strip, or ccfl. If its 06, look in the lighting section...

Exclamation Clarifications

It's a 2 part question.

1. 194/168 bulbs. Which are most plain white? Suggestions in Kelvin are fine. Brand if you can.

2. H4 bulb for fog. Same as above.

I believe you're right Klumzyee. There are no plain white LED's. I've tried several brands and types on other cars and they're all a little blue. I'm not going to even try on the G35 because I expect the same results.

But there is hope for 194/168 bulbs and H4 fogs. I believe.

I have a 2004 coupe. and tried the clearance strip search amongst others. there are no clear answers to be found. try it.

since you're looking for clearance strip bulbs i would assume you have 03-05 lights...custom CCFL is your best bet, no blue hue in my corners i don't have a clearance strip but others have used 12" ccfls for that as well...corners are 4"

here's a pic of all the lights on. vleds white inverted cone and sylvania silverstars. the blue from the led and the 4300k fogs combine to make a fairly white light.

without fogs on

edit: for clarification, the 06/07 g35 coupe and my g37 are h1 fogs, the 05 and lower are h4. i would assume that the h4 would look the same since they are rated the same k.
