04 HID low beam into 06 projectors high beam

I was wondering if you could transfer the HID bulbs from the 04 low beam into the 06 high beams. So you have both bulbs, the projectors from 06 as low beams and the 04 hid light in the high beams ???

The 06+ headlights have bi-xenons. That means the projectors on these headlights serve as both the low and high beams.

You're referring to the fog lights on the 06+ headlights. If you purchase an HID conversion kit, then you can re-use the bulbs from your old headlights. Without the conversion kit, the bulbs will not fit...

However, this is not recommended as it will cause glare to on coming traffic.

So I would just need to get the ballast and the harness ??? Also you said if i do this it would cause a glare for incoming traffic. But does that mean its not a little better then the regular for lights ???

If you wanted to, you can get a hid kit that has an hid bulb that has been re-based to fit into the 06 hi beam housing.

But I'm confused as to why you would be concerned with glare given the fact that if you drive around with your hi beams on, other drivers wouldn't see glare, but they would see A DIRECT BEAM shining into their faces.

The 04 headlights use a D2R and the 06-07 projectors use a D2S, which is similar, but different. You also need new fog and turn signal bulbs as the 04 bulbs are different. The 04 clearance strip bulb can be used in the 06-07 projectors as the city light.

Oh I already converted to 06 projector. I just thought the fog lights were the highbeams. Since I have my 04 light lying around, I was just wondering if I can add the Hid lights from the 04 lights to the 06 fogs.

You need an H1 HID conversion kit. Sure, you might be able to see a little better. But I guess you're not concerned about oncoming traffic.

+1, don't be one of those douchebags that use HID retrofit kits in reflector housings that aren't meant for HID's. It WILL cause glare and your car WILL be a safety hazard for all the other cars on the road.
