removing rear window brake light
Just remove the entire housing as they suggested, which leaves the hole.. so I just put the Bose CD case there and a black umbrella.. totally covers the hole
just make sure they squeeze tight between the rear seat and the rear window so it doesn't move around when you turn

You could get some scraps from an auto interior shop and make a cover out of some kind of board and some "matching" vinyl. I got creative with the best matching scrap I could get for free. I don't have a Bose stereo so my rear deck had more room to work with. The infiniti symbol is not as obscene...obvious... as it looks due to the slope of the rear window.

It also makes a cool ghost reflection in the rear view mirror
This picture's reflection is much stronger than what you actually see on the road.

Is it often the case with G35 sedans (like my 04) that the center brake light is left unhooked when a spoiler is added from the factory or by the dealer? I'm about to get tint and I think I like the idea of a hidden LED that lights up through the tint when I brake, and I was wondering if I should move it out of the way so that the tint guys can put it in there with less of a problem, and if I was doing that, I may as well get the thing working again, if it was ever hooked up and worked at all.
