I did this last weekend, the harness is a pain in the *** to get out. Try turning your driver side headlight inward towards the center of the car so the bottom part with the harness is angled outwards towards the fender; it's kind of hard to describe and it will take some jiggling to get it loose, but rotate your headlight that way until it slides out and you can see the bottom of the harness. There is basically no way to get the harness apart if you cannot easily reach the bottom of the harness where the clip is.

You can search one of the DIYs here that shows the headlight in this position, but I can't remember whose DIY it was but the pictures had a twilight blue G35 in it.

There should be something like |_| on the bottom of the harness, and you just put a flathead screwdriver down on it and pull. It should come apart with some force.

The passenger side is a huge pain because there isn't as much length to the harness wire so you literally cannot rotate it out. I had to get my girlfriend with tiny hands to get in there and use a screwdriver with a pivoting head to press down the harness clip. I have no idea how a full sized male would ever be able to do this so good luck.

ok so the "harness" is the black thing that you can turn and it holds the bulb? and the harness WIRE is the wire that goes to the plug that you need to disconnect?

No, there should be one main black bundle of wire going from your car to the headlight, connected by a black harness in between, all the other wires are for the ballast and you don't have to worry about them cuz they will all come out along with the headlight.

The harness doesn't hold any bulbs I'm not sure what you are referring to.

i'm sure you can figure it out if you look at it.

But here's a reference for you.
