Exclamation Why not kits for your fog lights

Too many people ask about putting HID in their fog lights, in hopes to match the low beam, but not enough are considering the consequences for the other drivers. The pictures are taken with the best of my ability to demonstrate the difference in light output and amount of glare you receive as a result of using HID in a non-HID designed reflector, such as our stock fog lights.

In the photo there is an obvious overcast aura that is a result of glare from using the kit. What this means is that oncoming traffic would be very distracted if not blinded by your fog lights as if you had your high beams on. This is not very safe nor courteous to other drivers.

I know some of you who have it don't think it's that bad, and the only reason is because you don't have to put up with the glare, everyone else does.

Just don't do it, you drive a G35 after all, keep it classy.

OEM lights are set just at DOT level. so during bumps you would be blinded. or if you are lowered.

People with kits are just constantly blinding. this is exceptionally irritating as my eyes are not good at night.

TLs are bright by nature. Actually the brightest Bi-xenon out there. so you'd probably be blinded a lot. but it has nothing to do with the kits we are trying to demonstrate.

To get stock color and output out of your fogs (w/o the glare), I would've recommend piaa xtreme force. Unfortunately they have gone up in price considerably in the last year, so it really isn't a viable option anymore. ($90+ shipped )

Which bulbs are you linking to, and good god, shipping would be crazy from the UK .
I bought the PIAA's in Japan. In Japan they have booths in the auto stores where you can test the bulbs at the time (2004) those PIAA's had the best output I could find. Luckily the G has the same sockets as a Toyota Premio
