So close- Headlight removal????: already read DIY guide>>>???

So I have already gone through most of the steps. All clips are removed, all bolts are removed, bumper is free, and lights are only connected by their harnss.

My issue is I can't seem to get enough play in the head light to un hook the harness. Is there an issue tip or somthing I a missing?

Head light has all 4 bolts removed and still doesn't have much play.

Thanks for direction.

bumper off.

4 bolts..

Pull out.

undo 2 harnesses and you're set... The greyish one is easy to pull out.. the black harness might be just a tad tricky but not hard at all.

I had problems with the passenger side headlight, the wires didn't have enough play in them. I had to work with it but I eventually got it out. The driver side is 10 times easier, I use a flat head to give myself a little more force on the pin, then it slides right off.

It is the passenger one I am having issues with too. Did you have to go from under neath the light?

Its always usually pretty hard the first time since there isn't much slack. When you re-install the headlights, I would advise you to leave slack in the even that you need to work on your lights down the line.

same thing I did. And yeah, the first time I removed the passenger side headlight harness was a PITA!

forgot which way I went the first time, I just remember having problems with it. After I got it out I freed up some room in the harness so it would be easier every time after that.

it might seem impossible to remove that clip at first with little room to move your hands, but just keep trying. there is a tab that you need to push on simultaneously while pulling the harness away.

I have not had any problems taking a number of people's lights off their G's. It's tight and I always used a 90-degree pick to unlock the clip.
