which LED's did you use?

 

dang those are bright

 

I bought them from v-leds online and I guess they are bright, they don't seem that overwhelming in person, but I think they look pretty good...nice bright and clear white lights

 

They have many different types... is that the one with 4 m-smt leds each pointing down?

 

this is what I used.. they're from V-Leds.. VERY bright white... you get two to a pack.. so i installed the other in the trunk dome lamp assy... really lights up the trunk with bright white light... works great! They're rated at 5 Watts of illuminating power... I have a slightly tinted license plate cover on my plates.. but at night with this LED.. it's so bright.. you can't even detect the plate has a cover on it! Very nice.. but as mentioned before.. you have to test drive these different configurations of LED lamp arrays.. not all are as bright as they claim to be! fortunately.. they're not too expensive.. until youget to those monster 36 led clusters... then your talking 50-60 clams for one of those bad boys!!

These were $10 for the pair.. best ones I've found yet!

oh ok...i used the 4 led bulbs for my license plate. they are bright enough to see, but not too bright
