For those of you who have changed your Xenon bulbs from the stock 4300K D2R bulbs to aftermarket D2S bulbs, I just have a few questions for you guys.
Was there an improvement in illumination of the road?
Were there any negative effects on performance...such as too much glare from the lights shining on road signs, etc.?
Do on-coming drivers flash their high-beams at you too much...basically, does it create too much glare?

I wanna get a paid of 6000K D2S bulbs from the globalpremier.com web site...I'm hoping to achieve better illumination on the road and would like some feedback on those who have performed this mod.

al503, thanks for the advice. I know globalpremier.com's lumens claims are definitely not true, but their bulbs are cheap and I just wanna try and see if I get any lighting improvement from the D2S bulbs. The performance from the Xenon headlights is very poor...upgrading the fog light bulbs doesn't help much and I don't want to install those aftermarket PIAA driving lights.

For those of you who are having trouble accessing the headlight bulbs, it's mad easy. You have to remove like 6 of those cap thingies in the fender well and you have to unscrew a screw that is directly above the middle of the wheel. It's hard to describe and even harder to figure out for yourself, but once you do, you'll never forget. You gotta remove those 6 of those plastic cap thingies, and one screw, then pull the front of the fender well down. You will have to turn the wheel all the way to the left to access certain screws, and all the way to the right to access other screws, but it's doable without removing the wheel.

Thanks for update/info. I'm just hoping to get better illumination by making the switch to D2S bulbs. The best thing I ever did was when I put in those Philips Rallye 90W/100W rally bulbs.....not street legal, but Halogen bulbs really aren't that bright so I never got any complaints from on-coming drivers, and they lit up the road very well and had a nice and wide beam pattern. The only problem is that the higher wattage caused the bulbs to run real hot and I didn't wanna run the risk of having the wiring burn out, so now I'm running Philips BlueVision fog light bulbs...they're nice, and provide good illumination, but they're really not all that blue (no blue coating, probably for a minimal loss in lighting performance).
I think I really need to consider more expensive options...have projector xenons retrofitted, upgrade the fog lights to Xenon HID kit, or install a pair of aftermarket Xenon driving lights like that dude 'anonymous' did with his blue G Coupe.
