$2081.00 for Headlight Assembly??
I live in Brampton ON... My Headlight assembly has a crack in it and the Ballast is now damaged do to condensation. Infiniti quoted me $2081.00 to replace the assembly and ballast. WTF?!?!?!
Anyway, does anyone know a mechanic in the GTA where I can get this fixed? I would prefer to do this through a mechanic so I can have some sort of warranty rather then random Ebay / online parts.
Also, would I be wise to just get a new Ballast and seal the assembly with silicone? the crack is on a part of the assembly under the hood.

If your car is an 05 that means it doesn't have projectors. What we're trying to tell you is that YOU DO NOT want to repair the headlight. Its going to cost more in labor to do that than it is to but a BRAND NEW headlight and install it yourself. I assure you its very easy, you can't ruin anything unless you do PCP and go crazy with pneumatic sheers.
For example. I got a pair of great working 05 coupe headlights for 175 shipped. Its not uncommon to see a PAIR going to close to 200. Whatever you do, stay away from ebay.

+1 to what everyone has said. I replaced the lamps on my 04 Coupe with the 06+ projectors and I got them for $525, shipping included, from Sewell Infiniti in Dallas, a site sponsor. The ballasts and all bulbs were included. Just check the marketplace on here and you will find sponsors that sell them for much less than what your dealer is trying to rape you for.
He doesn't want to deal with the "Customs" A holes trying to get it across. I will never buy nor ship anything to CA because of all the crap and time it takes. I don't blame him a bit for trying to find a local solution.
