Do you think my bulb is dead?

I bought used 6000k HID bulbs for my 06 projectors from a member on the forum used. Now I just noticed my passenger bulb is not lighting up but the rest of the lights in the headlight work (city light, etc.). Do you think it's possible to be a loose connection to just the HID bulb? I don't really want to jack the car up a little/turn my wheel and examine it twice if I don't have to. So I'm thinking the bulb went out. How long do they usually last? I bought them about 6-8months ago (I can't remember) and I assume they've been used for a year or two. If I need to buy a new bulb, where is the best place to buy Philips 5000k bulbs (I can't buy just 1 6000k for a good deal can I?) I'm thinking 5000k would be best output and color that I want. and also what are the best fog lights to put in my projectors? I want something bright but don't really care if it's yellow or white.

Thanks for all of the advice

alright I just need your opinion on which bulbs to buy. I found these on this site and they are very helpful, answering all of my questions and the bulbs are made by Eagleye. They have a 2 year warranty which makes me feel better, but they aren't philips. http://www.plasmagarage.com/index.html

Or I can get these on ebay, they have the Philips part number so I think they are Philips, but I sent them a message to make sure, but they are $158 shipped with 1yr warranty and I'd have to wait a week to get them.

Which ones should I order?

Check the connections first. The igniter might be loose or something. Just hope it isn't your ballast... water got into one of mine (long story) and everything is fine now after I changed that out.

I do not trust rebased bulbs. Philips does not make a true 5000k bulb, but they do modify the color to be 4800k or somewhere near that... If you want Philips, look for 85122+

Replace both bulbs at the same time because the bulbs will change colors evenly, over time. Adding a new bulb can make the color look uneven.

just replaced my bulbs with eagle eye 5000k bulbs and they work, so it was the bulb If anyone needs 1 6000k d2c bulb I'll sell it and the dead one for $20+shipping. I'm not sure how long they've been used since I bought them used (est. 1.5-2yrs) Maybe the bulb wasn't dead and it was a loose connection but I'll sell both for $20+shipping. If anyone has a dead 6000k this could be a cheap temporary replacement.
