Painted Headlight Housing Question

For those of you that have painted the headlight housing, what is the affect on night driving visibility?

It seems like it would decrease a lot of reflectivity.

It looks great, but I'm concerned about functionality.

Input please.

Thanks.

you paint the housing but NOT THE REFLECTOR CUP. as long as you don't paint the reflector cup you will be fine.

Painting the headlight bezel will not decrease visibility. I painted mine and I have not noticed any decrease in visibility whatsoever. So long as you don't paint the reflector housing in the back, you're fine.

Thanks guys, I'm reassured now and will hopefully get it done soon. By the way, anybody know any good tint shops in the 818/626 area in So Cal? Thanks.
