Ever since I bought the car the left blinker had to be manually turned off. I have asked the dealer many times to fix it because I am under the elite extended protection plan until 2011. First few times they "couldn't find" the problem. Then finally they said they just "couldn't fix" it after I expressed my opinion about there service department last time I brought my car in. I think its all BS and they just dont want to go inside the stering column. IDK they have tried to scam me before on rotors so i just don't trust them anymore which sucks because they are the only infiniti dealer I know of thats convenient for me. Anyway if someone could shed some light on this let me know thanks!

 

Sounds like it may be the headlight stalk is malfunctioning. I don't know for sure how they work since I've never taken apart the steering column but if its anything like the Hondas, there may also be a problem with the cable reel.

 

There is a DIY somewhere on here that details taking the steering column apart to do a steering wheel install. Doesn't look to terribly bad, try looking for that if you are thinking about doing it yourself.

 

eh thats BS, tell them you'll take it to Infiniti corporate if they refuse to fix it... espeically if you're under warranty theres absolutely no reason so say "tough luck" to u

 

infiniti gives you a rental car. just drive out to another dealer and come back in the rental car, free of charge.
