A man quoted me 125 to smoke my tails.
Is this a fair price?

$125 is a little steep. If you have the time and love doing diys than you can smoke them yourself for less than $20. Thats what I did

 

definitely easy for DIY.

LOL, 125 for tinted tails? spray can is what, 30? vinyl is what, at the max I've heard is 50-60..
125 is too much man, I'd say go somewhere else or DIY.

 

If it is actual paint that is a good price. I mean spray and clear.

 

no way...too steap! VHT Spray tint 20 bucks.....clear coat 5 bucks....a couple hours later....tails are done....way too easy...a quick note....spray tint on chrome gives it the black chrome look....did it....looks f*cking awesome!

The bay.. One of the only things I've bought from the bay for my car that wasn't crap.. And I've only bought 2 things.. bwahahahaahahh..

If you're going to tint your tails, and are serious about it, I'd have them painted (a little black in the clearcoat)... Otherwise you'll need to find someone skilled that can do these overlays, and most tinted places won't do them because they don't wanna be responsible if you get pulled over.. Some places cops will give you tickets for overlays on rear lights.. 04 tails have a light behind the reflector, so cops don't really mess w/ me (knocking on wood)
