anyone with Philips Ultinon 6k here?

For those of you who have this installed. Can you tell me if the actual color after warm up is Blue or purple? I hear some say blue and some say purple. I just wanted to be sure. I am trying to match all my lights and was hoping they give off a nice whitish blue color like those superbright white LED's.

okay thats what i thought. I never heard of anyone using philips ultinon 6k reporting that they were purple or pink. So far I had 2 people saying that they are purplish in color.

where exactly did you guys get your philips ultinon 6k from? I am looking at ordering from this place but wasn't sure if this is the real deal.

Can someone tell me if these are legit Philips Ultinon 6k bulbs?

http://www.kbcarstuff.com/Philips_Ul.../pb-d2s-6k.htm

Had somebody bought them from there and they told me it was purplish in color... and the bulbs came in some regular generic white box. Here's the pic of how they came in.

those are not real. At least not real philips boxes. Philips does not make d2c bulbs. Every pair of philips ultinon bulbs I've seen in person have a hint of purple/pink to them. Pictures online are never a good indicator.

These look like the ones I got from an Ebay Store that sells lights. The bulbs themselves look like the ones in the link. I paid about $90 each including shipping. I hope I got the real ones...

those look like the real actual bulbs, does it have a number on there? I believe the real philips ultinon 6k bulbs have 85122 imprinted on there as well...

Hey, don't take my word for it then. Just take an eye dropper tool to it in photoshop/GIMP and the color that it records is a violet color

Here is a pic of an ultinon bulb next to an OEM bulb also, where it clearly looks purple

Here is another comparison between ultinons and 5000k CM bulbs, where clearly again they are purple

More ultinon comparisons.

All have purple hues to them based on photoshop analysis. This is a more concrete method of testing because it is not subjective. If the eyedropper tool picks up any red hue to the color, then it must be purple, a blue hue will not have any red color associated with it.
