Blacked-out Headlights + LED Strip Clearance

Hey guys

I decided to black out my headlight housings and clear my turning signals to match my black grill and clear corners...

I also never thought the clearance strips were very functional for the early gen Gs, so I added a 12" led strip, and custom made some clearance strip moldings covered by flourescent light cover (same used for the clear turning signals).

The license plate bulb and trunk got LEDs, and the turning signal bulb was changed to chrome bulb that shines amber, to make sure all the orange accents were gone.

The headlights were painted with Duplicolor Matte Black and clearcoated. Although they look pretty dark in the pictures, there's no film or nightshade on them.

Sorry about the sh tty Iphone pics...
What do you guys think?

Thanks VLeds Costumer Service and all the people from the forum that helped me out

Thanks!

Ps. I got another light setup for the trunk that needs to be installed. In about a week, when I get some free time, I'll take some new pictures of the trunk with the led strips

excuse my ignorance, but the long LED strip on the side of the headlights...can one just buy that strip alone? or did you custom make an LED strip and fit it into the assembly? I'm looking to do this same thing to my (boring) 2005 headlights!!

any information you could give would be appreciated!

I got the LED strip from Vleds, then took the clearance strip out, cut a flourescent light cover to a perfect fit, then epoxied the led strip to the cover.
Any questions just lemme know

Looks pretty good but I am not a huge fan of just putting a premade strip in the clearance area. Since you have 04 lights, you really didnt have many options like those with 06+ light do.

How did you clear the turn signals? Not the clear corners. The turn signal inside the headlight. Also, what did you exactly use to hold the LEDs in the clearance strip? Looks amazing.

You have a billion more options of things you can do with 03-05 lights vs 06 lights.

Would it be possible to get a good close-up shot of your headlights, particularly the clearance strip with the lights off? Kinda want to see how they look.

The first pic is great, but I guess what I was asking for was something a lot closer, like a few inches away to get a good view of the modified clearance strip. It's cool if I'm just being a pain in the ***. You've already provided a lot of info.

Too bad you live literally on the other side of the country. I'd love to see this in person firsthand.
