Question Wiring

Hey
I was thinking of putting a strip of LEDs either in my grille or along the bottom of my OEM bumper (I promise I'll take 'em off if they look ricey)
I want these LEDs to come on with my headlights, but when I was gonna try and wire this all up, I realized that, in the massive bundle of wires on the main headlight harness, I have no idea which wire controls my regular headlights. Anyone kno what color wire comes on with the headlights?
I rly dont wanna have to test them all.
Thx

There's different ways to do this.

1.Tape into your headlights
2. hook it up to the battery and ground it add a switch. so you can put it on and off at will.

I think you should tap into your side marker wires (just follow the ones from your side markers to ur headlights)

I have an 05 G and was wondering how I would go about setting up CCFLs in the side. I see tons of ppl doing it. But no one mentions the wiring involved. Is it normal to only have one inverter? I have a feeling it wont reach correctly

Alpha,

If you're talking side markers, one inverter is alright (two = recommended)....if you run the wires across to the other side marker.
If you're talking clearance stripe, I would do two inverters.

Yea I was gonna be adding the clearance strip ccfl tubes. But I only got one inverter with it, I havent opened it up yet so I'm not sure where stuff will go, but I was told once I open it up I should be able to figure it out

155mph, what LED strips were you thinking of getting for the grill or bumper? I have had most of them out there so I could help you out on the light output of some of the strips out there...

WHat look do you want to achieve? THere are several strips that Oznium sells that might be what you looking for. http://www.oznium.com/flexible-led-strips If you have a flat surface you would like to mount the LEDs and would like them to project forward, the side emitting LED strip is nice. It is very thin and black so it is almost invisible. THe LEDs are bright at night but nothing like the Audi lights. You will not see these if they were on in the daytime but would be nice at night. If you are looking for LED fill inside a grill area then you can use any of the other top mounted LED strips. The flexible ones are pretty decent too. There are alot of pictures to look at to get an idea of what other people have used the lights for. Hope this helps some.
