06 Headlights

Well I have searched and havent been able to come up with a good answer.
I just ordered my 06 headlights from tony at river side aswome dude and willing to work out deal with you. Well on to the story. I'm getting them on thursday and want to do everything next weekend.

I want to put 3000k for the fogs. Are they H1 Bulbs? I read that Putting HID's will be a bad idea b/c of the whole blinding issue I would hate that. So does anyone have other bulbs like nokia's,PIAA, luminces? pics will help.

Also I like that my 05 headlights, the parking lights are amber and want to keep that look. I see the the 06 headlights dont have the amber shroud piece would buying amber LED make them that color even with out them turned on?

yes the fog lights are H1 bulbs, i actually have Nokia 2500k which is yellow. I recently do not have any pics at the moment. About your parking lights, you would probably have to buy the amber LED, it'll be easier. Good luck.

^^ He's referring to placing HID bulbs into a non-HID housing, which would create a significant increase in glare for the oncoming driver.

You'd also be getting a lot of the whole "they're blinking they're flashers at me all the time and my brights aren't even on" situation.

I don't really have enough trial with any of those brands to give you sound advice, but I always hear good things about PIAA, for what it's worth...

If I was looking for some myself, I'd be looking for PIAA's. I know Paul (IvoryGT) sells some...

and 3000K is just the color temperature BTW, not the amount of HID luminance, which is what I believe what you are referring to...

Check out the thread below. This guy's got HIDs in his fogs. Looks fairly bright and might have a little glare. I've used Nokya and Lumincs in my previous cars. Both get the job done. The only thing I'm worried about for the G, is that the fog is a giant reflector lamp. If you put a yellow bulb (Nokya, Luincs, generic) I'm afraid there will be a yellow reflection inside the lamp when the light is off (during the day). PIAAs on the other hand, are a "chrome'ish rainbow" color that light up yellow. But PIAAs are ridiculously expensive. Can buy a whole HID kit for that price. I'm hoping someone with one of these bulbs installed can post some daytime pictures to prove me wrong, or confirm my fears. In the mean time, I've got the HID option on my to-do mod list. Good luck.
