Question Spare Tail Lights - How to turn into a DISPLAY?

Hey Guys!

I have my old 2003 Tail Lights sitting collecting dust (purchased the 2006 JDM Amber Turn Signal Tails) and was wondering if anyone knew how I could take the old 2003 tails and <WIRE> them up to light up for display in my "man cave"?

I'd like to basically turn them into a light display that I can turn on and off light a lamp or basically any interior light source (like a neon sign - maybe is a good example of what I'm trying to achieve.

I thought it would be cool to hang these suckers up and enjoy those sweet LED's in the dark man cave.

If anyone has ANY CLUE on how to achieve this, I would be greatly appreciative for some advice and could work on a DIY for others that are interested!

Thanks Guys!

Try this one of these. I think it would do what you need.

Most any 12V "wall wart" that puts out an amp or so should work. You can get all that at your local electronics dealer or (shudder) RadioShack.

So let me see if I understand this correctly. I can purchase a AC/DC converter and some how splice into the left and right tail lights?

Any more clarity would be awesome guys. I don't want to burn down my house. LOL.

Does anyone else here on this thread have spare tail lights or interior gauges that they think would be cool to have displayed and lit up? I just had the thought the other night and didn't recall anyone else coming up with this idea or maybe I probably missed the thread? Either way - will be killer if I can get this all to work. What do y'all think!!??

Thanks Guys!
