3rd brake light problems

so whenever i press the brake pedal the 3rd brake light works when it feels like it. it usually stays off but i have also seen it turn on. i have no idea whats causing this... but i know the led's work. could it possibly be a loose wire or something? i also have another issue with my headlight covers, they are hazy/foggy on the inside, i dont know how to fix this. i would appreciate some help!

the 3rd brake light is a known issue apparently. i just had mine replaced under my extended waranty. otherwise infiniti wants close to 400 for the part/labor.

Yeah i had the same problem too.. heres a link for the part its easy to it your self but i have a coupe. i just pop it out and replace. I believe on the 4d you have to take a few things out to get to it.

so i took a look at it, and it seems to be a cable or something on the light. i already have a new one, which i plugged in and worked. i have read thats its a pain to remove the right screw... they were right. when i finally got a screwdriver to reach the screw, it was at an angle so it kinda started to strip the screw so i stopped. i have no idea how to do this, except removing the back seat and all that crap above the housing for the light, or paying a ridiculous amount of money at the dealer to get it done.... Try to secure the connector in the trunk. I've seen this be suspect (my car included). It connects right in the middle of the trunk underneath the light. Wiggle it around and it will probably cut in and out. Secure it in a position that keeps it on
